This summer, we decided to try swim lessons at Houston Swim Club. Beatrix started the two week session barely putting her head under the water. It didn't take her long before she was swimming with her head in the water, diving for dive rings, jumping off the platform, and sliding into the water. When we go to the pool at the Y, she is able to swim under water, and I even caught her diving into the baby pool. Theoretically, against the rules, but I was blown away at what I was seeing her do by herself.
At the end, she got her award promoting her to the next level. She loved having Mr. Charlie as a teacher. She really loves learning to swim and enjoys going to swim lessons. She is currently enrolled in 1 weekly maintenance class. Hopefully, she will continue to progress.
