Teddy Bear Valentine Party at St. Paul's School

Beatrix had her Teddy Bear Valentine's Party at St. Paul's School on Feb. 17th. It was in the morning, and a morning person she is not, so I don't think she was in the party mood just yet. She was hesitant to put her cards in her friends' bags, and I think I ended up putting them in. She, of course, enjoyed her valentine treat. What's not to like about that?

Playdate with Hadley

Today was the day we were supposed to get some snow, but as luck would have it, we had a playdate scheduled with Beatrix's new friend, Hadley. She was so excited to have her over. They played for hours, and it was a fabulous afternoon. I'm so glad we met this wonderful family here in our neighborhood.

Much Anticipated "Snow Day" Results in No Snow

No snow. No snow to make those tiny little snowmen (which is all we could ever make anyway). So, what else is a girl to do but make some mini snowmen out of playdough. Well, I'm quite certain we have enough playdough in this house to build a bigger snowman than we could ever build here in Houston with real snow.

Hungry Girl Yum Yum Brownie Muffin

Two ingredients. That's it. And, it's a low-ish calorie treat at 182 calories/muffin. My mother-in-law gave me a sticky note with this recipe on it. She got it from the Hungry Girl show on the Cooking Channel. I thought for sure she missed something, but went ahead with it anyway.

20 minutes in the oven at 400°, and these babies came out.

Here was the moment of truth. Would they be accepted in this family? The verdict is in....

They are delicious according to Charlie and Bea! I did manage to take in 1/4 of a brownie, and it was very tasty to me, but then again, I haven't had any real treats lately, so my taste buds could be off.
